The Alpen Terrace

Welcome to the Terrace, where people come together for good times and to celebrate significant moments.

In June 2002, The Griffith Leagues Club purchased the property next to the Southside Club owned by the Alpen Family.

Many Leagues Club patrons have spent a great night out with family & friends on the Alpen Terrace, so it’s not surprising that the Family name attached to the Terrace, spans four generations of member & has been enjoying great times with family and friends since the Leagues inception.

In 2007 commencement of the Alpen Terrace began with what stands today as a space used by so many locals and visitors, the terrace is a destination in itself.

There is nothing quite like our Terrace, the place to meet, eat, drink and put your feet up.

Whether it’s catching the local live acts every weekend in the warmer months or enjoying a carefree meal in the new Family Terrace while the kids play in their own dedicated nature playground, we have a space suited to everyone.

With simplicity and beauty, selected from nature comes our traditional, modern, and wooden nature play for the kids… lovingly created to encourage your children to play freely and imaginatively, all while you can enjoy a drink and a meal in peace. Seating for over 80 people, our Family Terrace also includes heating, cooling and cover all year round.

We're renovating

We are beginning renovations on the Terrace in 2024. This space is set to receive a significant upgrade in the form of a new outdoor bar, function pavilion, sports screen which will be accessible to members via a new rear entrance from the Bridge Road car park. Watch us transform this space!

The Fernery

Designed as if it was once an eccentric botanist’s conservatory, the Fernery is the perfect space to bask amongst overflowing greenery with a cocktail in hand. Grab a spot at one of the communal tables and settle in for an afternoon of mates and live entertainment.

The Courtyard / The greens

Enjoy acoustics on the green in the warmer months or another little space to enjoy the sun in. Sporting fans can catch all the games on the big screen while enjoying a bite and a drink from the outdoor bar and inside bistro.
